Mortgage Documents Needed

To apply for a loan, you and any co-borrowers will have to provide the lender with detailed documentation of your financial histories.  The lender will request a credit report from a credit agency and will verify the information provided in your loan application.  Be prepared to provide:

 

Two Forms of Legible ID: Driver's License/Passport and/or Social Security Cards

  • Copies of Checking and Savings accounts for the past two months (all pages - even if blank)
  • All other asset account statements including Retirement - past two months or most recent quarterly statement (all pages - even if blank)
  • Recent paycheck stubs (most recent 30 days)
  • Last 2 years W-2s and/or Personal Federal Income Tax Returns (all schedules)
  • If self-employed: provide last two years Business Returns (all schedules)
  • Residence history for the past two years - If renting: provide Landlord contact information
  • If Refinance: Provide recent Mortgage Statement and Proof of Homeowner's Insurance
  • If Purchase: Provide a legible Purchase Contract
  • Homeowner's Association Information with contact information if property is a condo or part of a homeowner's association

 

Keep in mind that some additional documents may be requested during your loan process.
